This painting of the Slater Library in Griswold CT was a challenge because it is the busiest corner in town. I parked at Chucky’s Gas Station while cars, trucks, and motorcycle’s came to screeching halts at the lights and pulled in and out in front of me for gas. Yet, I was able to achieve this painting! A tribute to a time of beauty struggling to stay alive in today’s world. A tribute to my mother who worked here every Wednesday and Saturday because of her love of books.
