The Jewett City Cemetery Jewett City Connecticut
Grampa Ralph and Nana Potts are buried here to the left of my painting under the large oak tree. Daddy would take me here when I was a little girl. Daddy would always say, “There is one plot next to Grandy. If I can’t be buried with Uncle Bob, please make sure I am here.” Daddy would then take a long puff on his cigar and end with, “But I want you next to me. What will we do?” I would always say, “Daddy, that’s a long way away.” “No” he would reply, “Time is just a blink of the eye.” The next time I blink my eye, Mom, Daddy and I will be together at the “new” cemetery in Pachaug with Uncle Bob near by. I’m sad the famous Stott twins are not side by side. But, I did my best.
