Lilies & Pomegranate
Because of the high heat and humidity in the quiet corner of Connecticut, I’ve been unable to sit in Daddy’s Old Truck to stay safe to paint. The next best thing is a set up of lilies from our local market. Since I only paint from life, this was shear pleasure in my little studio with air Conditioned comfort. In a way it is Plain Air Conditioned Painting in the quiet corner of the house at Pleasant View. Looks like I’ll be doing more of this until the humidity lets up. Why don’t I work from photos? Because photography is an art all to itself and I was classically trained for this lost skill by the best including the late Charles Sovek and Foster Caddell.
