A Pleasant Life@Pleasant View My portable studio (Daddy’s Truck), and my Griswold studio at Billy’s house. Griswold, Connecticut
After the illness and passing of my late husband, my best friend, the only peace I found is home where I grew up in Griswold, Connecticut. Many generations are here of my Yankee/British ancestry. My big brother is here and we are as close as when we were 4&5 years old playing together on the farm in old milk trucks. Finally, I have curbed my nomadic ways because I have a sound sleep knowing my big brother is next door. It is safe. It is home. My backpack is still packed by the door so I can leave at a moment’s notice to travel and paint. However, this is less frequent these days of quiet contentment. In my youth, my art has taken me all over the world. I still look at my backpack and remember those adventures. But today with the world so unsettling and the computer filled with Facebook predators, I keep my world small, filled with joy and I paint.
